Description: The Redmond Cup is the longest running and most prestigious youth tournament in the United States. There are two separate divisions: Junior (under 12) and Senior (under 18). Participants play by invitation only. Finalists are selected by their performance in the internet qualification tournament. The finalists will play in best-of-three playoffs during the Congress week do determine the champions of the Junior and Senior Redmond Cups.
Time Limit: Each player has 1 hour.
Handicaps: The tournament is not handicapped.
Rules: ING rules are used for playing and counting. ING compensation of 8 points is given to white.
Winners: The winners of the Junior and Senior sections will be awarded prizes. A prize fund of $1000 has been provided by the American Go Foundation.
